Creative 360’s Opens “Animals in Art”

– On Friday, January 5th, Creative 360 will open the inaugural “Animals in Art” exhibit at their 5501 Jefferson Ave location.  The opening reception for this celebration of our relationship to all creatures great and small will run from 7-8:30 pm in the Jefferson Gallery.

Juried by Donovan Entrekin, Director of the Art School at the Flint Institute of Arts, and featuring a diverse range of artistic styles and mediums, “Animals in Art” highlights the talent of local and regional artists who will take visitors on a visual journey through the captivating world of animals.

“We were truly amazed at the response we had to the ‘Animals in Art’ call for art,” said Colleen Reed, Curator and Program Director at Creative 360. “We are especially excited to show work from artists who are new to our galleries.”

The exhibit is part of the ‘Living with Animals’ Series generously sponsored by Donna and Andy Rapp who have a passionate drive for bringing awareness to the important role that animals play in our lives. The exhibition seeks to portray the remarkable beauty and intrinsic connection between animals and art and to highlight the importance of our relationship to nature.

Admission to the opening event, and to the Creative 360 galleries, is always free and the non-profit appreciates donations that allow them to continue this tradition. The exhibit is on display through February 11th.  Please call ahead or visit their website at becreative360.org for hours.
