Fashion Show Features Wearable Art by Creative 360’s Express Yourself Artshop Program
April 14, 2022, Midland, MI. – Creative 360 is partnering with Serendipity Road in downtown Midland for a Fashion Show Fundraiser. The event will raise money to support an inclusive arts and wellness program at Creative 360 called the Express Yourself Artshop.
Express Yourself Artshop provides opportunities for arts education to people of all ages and abilities including those with disabilities. Classes move at a more relaxed pace so the students can create on their own timeline. Artshop is a caring community of teachers, artists, students and staff that encourage and promote each person’s self-expression.
“We held our first fashion show fundraiser last year and it was successful on many levels,” remarked Artshop Coordinator Allise Noble. “We raised money, raised visibility for the program, and, most importantly, we raised up our students by featuring and selling the wearable art they had created.”
This year’s show will feature one of a kind wearable art clothing and accessories that can add artistic flare to any ensemble. Items from the Artshop program and Serendipity Road will be available for purchase after the runway show and on the Creative 360 website.
“Creative 360 means so much to me,” expressed one Artshop student. “For some reason whenever I walk into the building for class all my stress disappears. Making art helps me feel calm and happy. People can’t believe what I make – I never knew I could make art this good!
The fundraiser takes place Friday April 20th from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Bayliss Street Gallery. Admission is free and donations to the Express Yourself Artshop program are gratefully accepted. Let us know you are coming online at becreative360.org or by calling the arts center at 989-837-1885.
