Adams School and Creative 360 partner for fundraiser
March 9, 2020, Midland, MI. – When the Adams School PTO was searching for a new fundraising idea, PTO member Katie Bruessow knew exactly where to look.
Katie is a member of the Board of Directors for arts and wellness organization, Creative 360, so she was aware of the non-profit’s recent offering of ArtSpark art kits.
COVID-19 made it impossible for us to hold our usual carnival style fundraiser,” said Bruessow. “Creative 360’s ArtSpark kits were a big hit at holiday time – they were even featured on TV 25. I knew that if we put our heads together, we could come up with a fun art kit for our students that would fill in for the carnival this year.”
Bruessow contacted Creative 360 director, Laura Vosejpka and together they designed three new art kits for the fundraiser. Each kit features a tile to paint, a beaded backpack ‘pet’ to make, and a special Adams School spirit craft. The kits are $15 with proceeds going to the Adams School PTO.
“We were excited to partner with Adams!” remarked Vosejpka. “Our goal is to create environments for people of all ages to experience the creative process. Right now the safest and easiest place for students to do that is with their own family.”
The kits are appropriate for artists of any age, with the lady bug and penguin kits designed with younger students in mind. There is also a lizard kit that is slightly more challenging.
“What is particularly great about this partnership is that the Adams PTO can take advantage of our online shop to order,” said Vosejpka. “Anyone, anywhere can order a kit – they can be picked up at Creative 360 or shipped anywhere in the US. And you do not have to be an Adams student to order – any student will have fun making these projects.”
