We are excited about our new supplemental arts programming for families who have opted for virtual or home schooling. Each Thursday, Creative 360’s artists and teachers will provide students in grades K-5 an opportunity to practice art and movement with a small group of their peers. The Creative Kids program begins September 17 in two sessions that include 1.5 hours of art instruction and 1.5 hours of movement/performance. You can register your children for either 8-11:00 am or 12-3:00 pm Call 989-837-1885 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more or to sign up.
“Creative 360 saw an opportunity to meet the social, creative and movement needs for Midland students during a time when they may feel isolated from their peers,” explained Executive Director Laura Vosejpka. “We offer a structured program where they can have fun doing art, getting messy, and working together in a safe environment.”
K-5 students will engage in a variety of arts activities that people have come to enjoy at Creative 360, including: watercolor and acrylic painting; ceramics; collage and art journaling; comic book art; stuffed animal creation; instrumental music; yoga, stretching and strength; dancing and acting; and outdoor fun and games.
Creative 360 also offers a number of early evening and weekend classes that would be appropriate for middle and high school age students. “From palette knife painting to beginning ukulele, our instructors welcome participation from all ages and abilities. A list of classes that are particularly suitable to middle and high school students can be found on the MPS Student Flyers website,” said Vosejpka.
As has been its priority since re-opening in June, Creative 360 is committed to creating a fun and safe environment for everyone who visits their facility. Masks are required for all students and teachers while indoors, participants will be distanced in their work spaces, and staff are following all cleaning and sanitizing protocols.
