CREATIVE 360 HOSTS ‘THE BICKERSONS’

The Bickersons Outdoor Play

Creative 360 resumes our popular live Old Time Radio Show offering with an outdoor performance of The Bickersons on Monday, August 24 at 6:30 pm. Guests will enjoy a performance, complete with live sound effects, like those delivered to families in the 1940s as they huddled around their living room radios. Admission is $10 per person with your own chairs. There is limited $40 premiere seating available that includes a table for two. Register online or call 989-837-1885. Rain date 8/31.

The Bickersons was a popular radio show in the 1940’s that preceded The Honeymooners. Real-life couple Dexter and Laura Brigham will play John and Blanche Bickerson who spend most of their evenings in a relentless and comical verbal war. You’ll get an old-fashioned guffaw from watching this wacky duo as they ‘suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous matrimony’.  Live sound effects will be provided by Carol Rumba.

“Dexter and I thought this would be a fun opportunity to get back on stage together, while also doing something for Creative 360,” said Laura Brigham who is also Creative 360’s office manager.

The Brigham’s have a long history of professional stage performance including the national tours of Kiss Me Kate, Man of La Mancha, and The Scarlet Pimpernel. Locally, you may recognize Laura from The Michigan MOMsemble, and Dexter is currently seen weekly in the Midland Center for the Arts online performances of Shakespeare & Chill Live!

“What a treat it will be to have Laura and Dexter performing together on our outdoor stage,” said Creative 360 Executive Director Laura Vosejpka. “We are all looking forward to this night of laughter and entertainment.”

Creative 360’s safety plan ensures you have a place to relax, create and be entertained with confidence that your health and safety are a top priority. Grid marks will be in place to separate groups and ensure guest safety.
