Hawk of the West is the next live radio drama at Creative 360. The night offers two original episodes written by Tony Polermo – “Indians at Coyote Creek,” and “Footlights on the Frontier.” The audience will enjoy two stories reminiscent of the Lone Ranger radio series of long ago. The evening begins at 7:00 pm on July 21. Tickets are $10 prepaid and $12 at the door. Bring your own beverage.
In the first episode – “Indians at Coyote Creek,” night-time raids threaten to start an Indian war! Our mysterious lawman, The Hawk, and his Indian companion, Uzumati, are in dire danger. Only Prairie Rose, the tough lady rancher, and Chief Thundercloud, can help our heroes survive this slam-bam action adventure.
Episode two, “Footlights on the Frontier,” takes place in the sandy vastness of Arizona Territory. There is no town more cheerless and foreboding than Quartzville. Yet, nearby, beneath the grim, volcanic hills, lies the White Hope Silver Mine, where disaster has struck without warning. The Hawk and his trusted companion, Uzumati, are once again called into action! This time they find themselves aided by an unlikely character – a traveling Shakespearean actor! Will they get to the trapped men in time? And who is the culprit responsible for this terrible calamity?
Cast members include: Jerry Gwisdala, Steven Holty, Dick Jellum, David King, John McPeak, JoAnn Pobocik, David Ritter, Amy Sabourin, Terri Schroeder, Mark Turpin and Trena Winans. Ding, Dong and Dell (Joannah Lodico, JoAnn Pobocik and Carol Rumba) return to fill the interludes with their delightful old time radio jingles.
This is the fifth in a series of radio dramas produced by Creative 360. The popular series has included a private-eye murder mystery, a British detective story, a Halloween classic, a sci-fi thriller, and now an evening of westerns!
