Creative 360 Hosts Grace Marra Concert ‘A Song in Her Heart’

Grace Marra ConcertOn Wednesday, October 12, 7-8:00 p.m., Grace Marra will deliver a rare vocal concert with Jantz Black as her accompanist. Cost is $10.

“This will be a moving concert,” said Creative 360 Program Director Colleen Reed. “Marra’s awe-inspiring voice will seep into your soul.”

Grace Marra has been active in Midland’s music scene since her arrival in 1985. She has served as conductor for the Music Society Chorale, has been a volunteer conductor for Teenage Musicals Inc., and has directed the Men of Music since 1995. As an active performer, Marra soloed with many civic organizations. She is artistic director of the Harmony Diversity Choir, and composes works for the Men of Music and her church choir. Marra maintains an active voice studio and many of her students have gone on to further study at the university level. In 1999, Marra received the Kendall-Pelton Musician of the Year award.

She has one son, Mike, who she says is her greatest opus.
