Looking for Volunteer Opportunities? Creative 360 May be the Right Fit!

Many of you have told us how you love spending time at Creative 360 and look forward to stopping in whenever you can. If you’re one of these people, have you ever considered being one of our volunteers? We have a great team of volunteers who help take care of our grounds, perform administrative duties, assist with Express Yourself Artshop classes, work events with us and more. We are grateful for every single one of them, and would love to add you to the team!

Fall and winter are our busiest seasons and this is when we need you most. This is also when we have the most diverse experiences to offer. If you find something you would enjoy, give us a call!

Express Yourself Artshop

artshopExpress Yourself Artshop is our program designed to offer those with mental, physical and intellectual challenges opportunities for arts education. It is a safe and caring community of teachers, artists, students and administrative staff that encourages and promotes each person’s self-expression through the arts.

We need volunteers who can help us provide one-on-one assistance for our students. Art skill is not required, just a pleasant and helpful disposition to help students accomplish their goals. Even just being there to help students refresh their water, pick out paints, cut out pictures or shapes, or keeping them busy while they are waiting for help from the instructor is a big help.

You can volunteer for one class a week or more. Here is a list of classes where you could be the most help. They are all beginner level programs.

Creative 360

Sam Smith volunteering int he officeDistribute class and event schedules: Creative 360 prints and distributes class and event schedules three times a year. We appreciate the volunteers who help deliver them to area businesses. We provide the route and businesses and appreciate your ideas for any others on that route we might have missed.

Stamp & Label Mailings:
We send out postcards to announce upcoming exhibits and special programs and appreciate help stamping and labeling the postcards. This is particularly helpful during our busy “Yes We Can!” season January through April.

Assist with events and exhibit openings:
It takes a lot of people to make an exhibit opening, concert, play or other event run smoothly. Come help us greet, take entrance fees, replenish food, or serve beverages. You can enjoy the event at the same time.

General Office Work:
The Creative 360 office needs to be staffed 9:00 – 4:30 everyday and even more during special events and rentals. There is a variety of work volunteers help with: answering phones, taking registrations, providing information, organizing files, and whatever else comes up. If you have administrative skill, we hope you will share it with us.

Basic Marketing:
We use a variety of methods to make sure the community knows about the exciting things coming up at Creative 360. We rely on volunteers to complete a variety of online calendars. Attention to detail is critical in this and writing skill is helpful. Come help us spread the word about our amazing programs!

If you’re interested in fulfilling one or more of these volunteer roles, please call Joannah at 989-837-1885 or send her an email at lodico@becreative360.org.

We’re looking forward to working with all our new volunteers!
